Summer Learning Journey

Eotc week

 Hello people today we are right about EOTC. We went to Jellie park I like going to jellie park because we got to go swimming and I got to see some of my mates my favorite thing was going on the slides because I got to cool down on the hot day. The part that I did not like was getting really bad sun burn it hurt a lot and I had to deal with a person that I dislike. I saw some lifeguards get mad at some kids because they could not swim and I saw a lot of schools that came to have a swim. I lured that in you go down with people on the slide you will properly get hit by them when your on the slide.

book review

  Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been working on book reviews and finishing task we also had to do some task each weeks. A couple of weeks before we done the book review we had to write something about why we shouldn't fight and some people lost some point because they didn't have paragraphs or anything else. 

The author of my book is Rodman Philbrick and the book is called Freak the Mighty I chose this book because I had never read the book and then it got interesting after that I had done all of the task and they were easy. The book was good even tho it was kinda boring or was still happy when I got to the end my favourite part from the book was when he got trapped and then he couldn't get out but it was sad. The characters were Freak, Max if someone wanted to read this book I would let them because its interesting and it will help them get better.

 Hello today I am talking about my speech in this unit I liked doing the writing and reading it to my mates and making  my speech and finding more info about rural life  and being able to know I did my speech to my best i could do. I was challenged with not being able to find things I need to know  until I tried my hardiest at the start i did not want to do it but then I wanted to do it. I lured that im good  at speekig in group.

gymnastics

Hello people Before we done gymnastics we had to do a blog, the blog was easy. My favourite part is the trampoline because I can do flips and then there is the mini trampoline. We had to do some task and they were Front flip, Back flip something I learned was not to be silly because someone hurt them self. EOTC week

Hello people as you will know we are going on our EOTC week soon and  my task today is to wring what part im looking fowerd to the most. The location that sounds the best is Adrenalin frost because it is outdoors and its in a forest and it is at high im exited to go and do it because i like being outside and going high up and to not have to do any school work. I think I will like going high up in the forst the most but them going to the pools and  slide hopfully it will be a hot day when we go to the pools.

Hello, do you have health problems? Maybe living rurally can help you with your sleep, iron, vitamins or mental health. Hello my name is Isaac. I am going to be talking about how living in a rural area can help your health. Scientists have proven that it is healthier to live in a rural environment. One of the things that is healthier is that the air is cleaner than living in town.

Your iron and vitamins can be increased by having more chores to do outside like feeding the animals, cleaning water troughs and harrowing. Harrowing is using a quad bike to use metal prongs to drive through the poo to break it up. Your vitamin d can be increased from the sun and your vitamins in the meat that you get from home kill. The meat works because with the meat from the store you don't know where the meat has come from and if there is anything  wrong with the animal. With a home kill you will know where the meat was from, and if the animal had problems, and if anything was wrong that might have affected the meat.

Another reason living rurally helps with your health is because  there is a lower cancer death rate. If you live in a rural area you  experience less stress. Having a rural lifestyle can cost a bit of money to start but in the long run it will have better effects on your health because less air pollution and  less cars. You don't have people right next to you so if you want you can have a party and not get in trouble by people for not letting them sleep.

Now that you have listened to my speech you now know a bit more about living rural maybe hearing this might make you  decide to buy a property so if you do I hope you have fun thanks for listening to my speech.

100 world challenge

 Hello people to day we are doing the 100 world challenge here hope you like it. This week it was about being stuck in a life sized bobble and where you would go. 

The first place I would go would be to lake Lyndon the reason why I would go here is because I like this place a lot I would go down under the water and get all the fishing gear that would have gone in the lake during the years. Then i would go to a farm so then I can go on a big tour and then see all the animals  and then help them feed the animals. Then I would go to the racetrack so then I can watch all the races and the leave and go home.

Freak the Mighty

Hello people this is my work on Freak the Mighty here is my reading work. This week was a good part of the story I liked reading this week

In Chapter 17 Killer Kane confides in Max (pg. 101-102).

How would you describe the emotions he is feeling?

Why is he feeling this way? The feeling’s was sad angry and upsetting because they gave Killer Kane a not so kind name. 

What huge revelation does Max express to his father

at the beginning of Chapter 20?  Do you think this is the right time for Max

to share this information?  That he seen his dad kill his mum in front of him

and now he's killing Loretta and tried to stop him. 

Who are these characters? Killer Kane is Maxwell's dad he has spent the

last 7 years in jail for killing Maxwell mum. Loretta used to be friends with Killer Kane and then they found out he killed Maxwell mum and then Killer Kane tries to kill her. 

100 word challenge

 One day some people were walking in the bush and  they saw some snow. There were footprints in the snow, but it was on their  property and no one had been in the snow till now.  Their car was covered in dewy snow  and they saw footprints on  it too.They didn't know what had been going on so they walked after the footprints. They found a body and blood everywhere. They looked on the cameras and saw that he was killed by a person who ran and got in a car and drove off so they called the police. 

Art

 Hello people in Art we have been working on abstract art. I learned how to do abstract art before we started doing it. I didn't not know anything about abstract art. We learned how to do the abstract art it is made out of all different shapes. My favorite part was when we did the 3 different words one with the art out shapes the thing that challenged me the most was when we had to do the practice art that we did with all the shapes and shades. For the first piece of art we did was the 3 words art the 3 words were love fear growth I like we we did this art because it made me think a lot on what I was going to put it in. The sencend piece of art we did was the 2 word art which we are still working on the two words are happiness and anger

Freak The Mighty

 Hello people, this term we have been working on a novel study. We got to pick the story we were going to read. I decided to read the book Freak the Mighty. Today we needed to make a summary about what happens. The protagonist are Max and Kevin they are friends and one of them are new to the school. Max was the smart one out of them both. Kevin is disabled, his legs don't work and he has crutches.  Max and Kevin are only friends because Max helped Kevin get his american flyer. I predict that Kevin and Max are going to become really good friends and then they will be the bully's to the real bully's.

upstander

Hello people we are working on upstander  actions it for pink shirt day here are some things they will do. 

Support the person experiencing bullying if you do this you may make a friend from helping them. They might be sad and your helping them.

Distract from doing this you will be able to help them get there mind off what they are thinking off and help them get help.

Call someone or get someone to help them so they can fix the problem and then it will be finished.

If something is going on that you don't like then leave and get someone to help if its an problem.

be mates with the person getting bullied and help them with whats going on. 

Pink Shirt Day

  Hello today I am going to be talking about why I think Pink Shirt Day has become a global movement. I think it has become a global movement because they know why it was all started and they want to back them up with there movement and know a lot of people in the world do the Pink Shirt Day so they can make money for the movement then they can give help to people who get bullied or have depression. I think it went all around the world because they heard what had happened   and the wanted to help them make money for the movement. 

Blackout Poetry

Hello people we have been working on our new class it is art we tried blackout poetry. I really like doing this because it was interesting to learn how to do that type of poetry and know how it was done and made I made a poem about race cars I liked making them. If you want to do it then you need to get some new paper then get a pen and put a box on the words you like then get a vied and blackout everything else so all you will be left with is some word.

Badge of Honour

 Hello people I just read the story badge of honer. We had a choice to do write the rest of the story or think of a time when you were a upstander I had time to do both so here they are.  I think that Miss Latu will not believe them and that Isaac will not back up Tosasi and then will tell on him and then he will get in trouble with Miss Latu and Tosasi will say Isaac did some of it so he will get in trouble. I was a outstander when my mate got smacked in the face and I went and got a adult to solve it.

freak the mighty

Hello people today we are starting a new task and we will be reading a novel, here is our task for today. I think that this will be about a person that might not get along with a lot of people that might get bullied everyday because he might have something wrong with him. And a guy might come alone and help him and then he gets more friends and not get bullied  as much and might go out slide a lot more and then he will try new tings that he didn't know about. I think I'm going to like this book because it said some bits in the blurb that I want to know more about what is going on in this kids life and why he is bullied and why he don't like many people and don't have a lot of friends.

B&E

 Hello readers for the last 4 weeks we have been working on businesses and enterprise. We did this so we could make some money for our end of year actively we had $20 dollar's to start with and we used $15 dollar's out of the  20 dollar's on the market day we sold $49 dollar's witch mint  we made $34 dollar's in profit. I had fun doing all of the B&E things we did I had a lot fun on market day selling our product I liked working in the group I was in and I lured a lot about what to do. Maybe next time I would not sell lollies but incensed I would do a sausage sizzle because  there was a group that did that and they mad a lot of money from selling them. When we were planing what to do we all had a different idea and next time I would go on a idea that we all wanted to do and not be so silly when doing the planing. I think  I was a good ascent to the businesses and did a lot of work to get id done on time I think  I did equally the same amount  of work as what everyone else   did that was in my group when we did the planing and when we did market day I think we did go as we did make 34 dollars off of 15 dollar investment.
